It is essential to plan ahead as many of the restaurants in Stockholm require reservations and many book up well in advance, especially for dinner service. Stockholm Restaurants specializing in Breakfast Service
Greasy Spoon

For a scrumptious breakfast in a diner style atmosphere try Greasy Spoon. This small restaurant has diner style tables throughout with rustic style bins and baskets for accents while staff is dressed in denim overalls giving it a country kitchen style appeal.
They have a wonderful breakfast menu of several types of benedicts including veggie & vegan options, avocado toast, french toast, and pancakes. If you are not worried about your figure, The Apple Crunch French Toast and the decadent Blueberry Scotch Pancakes are a must! In addtion to the coffee, tea, and several juice options, they also offer brunch conktails like Mimosas and the yummy Bacon Bloody Mary, as well as, a variety of beers.
You can find Greasy Spoon in Södermalm, only blocks from Odenplan. They are open weekdays 8am to 4pm and weekends 9pm to 5pm. The restaurant is very popular and very busy during peak meal times and they do not take reservations, so plan extra time.

Flickorna Helin

The lovely Flickorna Helin is a Scandinavian cafe and coffee house located on the garden island Djurgården. It is a wonderful place to stop for Fika or Lunch. Enjoy a coffee with friends along with a homemade scrumptious cake or pastry. If you need lunch, enjoy one of their savory Swedish style soups or a salad along with deli style sandwiches.
This cute little cafe is located on the lower level of the colorful Scanian mine building (originally an exposition center). Inside it is small, dark and cozy with brick walls, low lighting, and a fireplace. Outside, during the summer, the outdoor patio is set up with additional tables & chairs surrounded by beautiful flowering pots and trees with a gorgeous views of the park.
Watch out for the birds though, they love to scavange for food if you are not careful!

Pas d’Art offers French inspired cuisine created with seasonal Swedish ingredients in a sophisticated dining enviroment. The colorful and posh furnishings, fixtures, and accents along with the Scandinavian and Nordic painted walls were designed by interior designer Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of signature cocktails and French cuisine in an upscale part of town making it a great place to stop for lunch during a day of shopping or for dinner to start a night on the town.
They are open weekdays from 11:30am to 11pm, Saturday 12noon to 11pm, and Sunday 1pm to 10pm. Reservations are recommended for lunch service and required for dinner service.
Urban Deli Centralen

The Urban Deli Centralen is a hotel and flagship store, so you will find more than just dining service. The restaurant serves authentic Swedish cuisine for lunch and dinner service with menus changing weekly, but they are so much more. On the main floor next to the hotel entrance they have a trendy cafe serving homemade Swedish pastries and coffee. Connected to the cafe at the front is The Market, where you can purchase fresh cut or sliced meats and fish, fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthy snacks. If you are looking to enjoy a view, take the elevator to the rooftop bar where you can get a signature cocktail while taking in the spectacular view of downtown Stockholm from above.
Feel free to drop in for breakfast and lunch, but you better make a reservation for dinner service. They do not take reservations for the rooftop bar, so plan to arrive early to ensure you can find a seat or table.
It is located in the heart of downtown Stockholm making it an easy location to find, but do keep in mind that they have other locations throughout the city.

Bistro La Belle Epoque

Enjoy French inspired entrees in the elegant La Belle Epoque Bistro in the Hotel King Carl. Whether you are staying at the historical hotel or not you must make a reservation! The La Belle Epoque specializes in mussels from the Northern Atlantic along with other seafood favorites such as lobster, crayfish, oysters, and tuna, as well as, steak tartar and dry-aged steaks.
The restaurant features traditional French style decor and fixtures with bistro style tables and comfortable chairs. During the summer, additional bistro tables and chairs are available for additional seating under an awning in front of the restaurant. Reservations are required.
After a lovely dinner head to the back of the restaurant to enjoy live music at The Jazz Club or head to the Cocktail Bar on the corner for an after dinner drink in a much quieter atmosphere.
L’Avventura

If you are looking for authentic Italian in a unique atmosphere L’Avventura is the place to be! As you enter you will start at the bar with it’s old world elegance, modern fixtures, and comfortable seating. You can continue to the upper bar on the balacony by proceeding up the stairs, but if you follow the hall to the left you go directly into the dining room. The gorgeous dining room is actually an old theator but redesigned for a restaurant! The walls are finished in the old traditional theater style with wallpaper and gold trim, but with italian artwork. The tables, bar, and open concept kitchen are upscale with an old Italian flair.
The entrees are traditional Italian made with fresh ingredients served on custom made Italian plates designed especially for L’Avventura. Service is top-notch and on the formal side. You have to love when the cart with the cheese wheel comes around so the staff can serve the fresh parmesan right from the wheel!
The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday, but reservations are required. They are very popular so you may need to book as far as two months in advance. The bar is open for walk in, but reservations are encouraged if you have a large group. They have a fantastic cocktail menu along with an extensive list of wine and beer available. Lite snacks of charcuterie, cheeses, nuts, and olives are available to purchase.
Scarpetta

Scarpetta serves traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes, in an elegant, plant-filled dining room as well as a covered and heated patio area. It is located on Drottingham in the heart of the shopping area, as well as a touristy area. They have a large wine list with several signature cocktails. You do not need reservations for lunch, but definitely for dinner service. Since they are in a really touristy area, they have suggested tipping options when you pay. This is really unusual for Stockholm, as you don’t typically tip in Sweden because waitstaff gets paid a normal wage. If you feel inclined, select the 10% option.
