The Cruise back from Estonia to Stockholm
The cruise back from Estonia to Stockholm was relatively uneventful compared to the excitement of the previous two days.
At some point during the night, I took a peek outside while we were sailing over the Baltic Sea. The water was calm, but I noticed another cruise ship passing in the opposite direction, along with a large cargo ship, both clearly traveling along a well-used shipping route. Although it was already bright outside—thanks to the long northern hemisphere summer days—it was still quite early. I lay back down, lulled by the gentle rhythm of the waves, and drifted back to sleep.
Eventually, we got up, packed our bags, and headed downstairs to the Grand Buffet for breakfast. We ate slowly, savoring both the meal and the stunning views as the ship cruised through the islands of the Stockholm Archipelago. Once we finished, we went outside to enjoy a better view of the islands as the ship made its way through the last of them and approached the Stockholm’s Frihamnen port.
Returning to our cabin, we grabbed our bags and joined the crowd disembarking the ship and ending our cruise back from Estonia to Stockholm. After making our way off the boat, we headed to Gärdet Station and took the subway back to downtown Stockholm, finally arriving at our apartment.
